Giant Slaying Faith

One of the most famous stories of the Bible is the story of David and Goliath.  Goliath was a huge man!  He was 9’ 6” and taunted the Israelites everyday with a challenge.  He would fight the Israelites champion and the losers people would be enslaved to the winner.

why is it that David had faith in God and the children of Israel didn't? was it because he was destined to be king?

David was willing to believe God would go with him & help him defeat Goliath. At a time of uncertainty he chose to simply trust God & that resulted in victory. David's faith is a lesson that God is capable of defeating any of the giants in our life (fear, depression, doubt, etc.), if we know & understand His nature well enough to trust Him.

David had faith and he also had belief which activated the faith he had to give him the strength to simply trust in what God told him to do. There will be times when all we have is our faith and trust in God because the world around us can't see what we see. You can't really discuss divine business with those who don't see the divine vision because they won't understand what you're saying.
